Only now I have started playing with Wordpress widgets. One nice thing is that as long as you are using widget-aware themes, the structure of your sidebar remains the same throughout theme changes.

Avoiding undefined function errors when disabling plugins
March 6th, 2006 · 1 Comment
Many Wordpress plugins require inserting in your theme files calls to functions they define (examples of this include very useful plugins like Akismet Spam Count, del.icio.us integrator and WP Admin Bar). This causes problems when the corresponding plugin is disabled (for example, as suggested for the Wordpress 2.0 upgrade process). Avoiding this problem is extremely [...]

I have kept using Firefox on my Mac, and today I read about the Performancing for Firefox extension, so I thought I’d give it a try – I’m posting this using it. It’s quite nifty – you get a split-view screen with the posting editor at the bottom, while being able to continue using the [...]

Update: categories work!
Testing WordPressDash

I normally use Ecto for posting (not that I’ve done much of that lately), but today I found out about WordPressDash, so this post is just to give it a try. Let’s see how this comes out.
Edit: Hey, it works! It seems to hang for a while at the end, before becoming responsive again. And [...]

Weblog Tools Collection » Wordpress Plugin Meme:
I’m always on the lookout for interesting plugins, and I’ve been trying to find ideas for a plugin to enter the Wordpress plugin and mod competition (also as a good opportunity to learn how to write wordpress plugins). So to continue the meme, here goes my list of non-bundled [...]
