If you were looking for the typical “about me” page, this is it. There’s probably more interesting stuff to see (or not) elsewhere in my site. You’ve been warned.
I (Diego Zamboni) am a computer scientist living in Switzerland, with my wife and our two daughters. Before that, we lived in the U.S., where I studied at Purdue University, I still have a web page there.
My field of work is computer security, and in particular intrusion detection. These days I’m working in virtualization-related security. I work at IBM Research – Zurich.
I was born in Argentina, but have moved around all my life. When I was very young I moved to Mexico, where I lived in 4 different cities before moving to the U.S. to pursue my Ph.D. After that, we decided to come to Switzerland, and it’s been lots of fun, not without its hard parts (being so far away from family and friends, learning the language, adapting to the culture). Who knows where we’ll end up next.
So there. Maybe some more later when I’m more inspired.
If you are interested, here’s my curriculum vitae.
