Wordpress 2.0 will be released any day now, and like any self-respecting geek, I would like to upgrade as soon as possible, just to have the shiniest, newest toy. The trickiest issue seems to be plugin compatibility. Here’s my current list of enabled plugins, and their status according to the compatibility list:
- Akismet 1.12 -works
- Akismet spam count 1.1 – works
- Coppermine integration – not listed, but its web page lists version 3.7 as working with 2.0
- del.icio.us integrator – not listed – nothing in its web page
- Markdown plugin – not listed. But if it comes with Wordpress (as has been the case so far), it should work, right?
- Obfuscate email – works
- WP Admin Bar 2 – works
- Tiger Style Administration – listed as not working, but there seems to be a fixed version here.
- WP plugin manager – not listed, and seems to be suspended for now
So, all in all, I don’t seem to be in so bad shape. We’ll see when WP 2.0 is released…
