  7. I think I'll just go home early today.
  8. …in reply to @AnimalGurl
@AnimalGurl Thanks! The view is even better on the other side of the campus (facing the lake and not the highway) :-)
  9. …in reply to @wimremes
@domdingelom Which one did you get?
  10. Just... wow. RT @Beaker: The Bacon Explosion: http://tinyurl.com/a5pvvq
  11. …in reply to @matteorattotti
@matteorattotti I disagree. I couldn't function without virtual desktops. I use them to separate different tasks or projects.
  12. Bah. Tired and unproductive today. Meetings cutting my day into little pieces.
  13. Walking to work today. The Shil river is almost completely frozen!
  14. Followup photo for my previous tweet - the Sihl river about halfway frozen this morning.
  15. http://twitpic.com/12pkq - Let's try that again
  16. Vacuum pockets http://groups.google.com/group/rec.arts.sf.written/msg/073bea1aa44c9396
  17. …in reply to @undefined
@vkoser @lmacvittie Funny - your twitpic URLs are almost consecutive, and next to each other for me: http://twitpic.com/1318y
  18. …in reply to @fromtheold
@fromtheold Those are not from Google Earth, and are taken from The Big Picture blog: http://tinyurl.com/7mpl3q
  19. …in reply to @undefined
@Shrdlu So you have lived in Zurich AND in West Lafayette? Have we met? When were you in WL? I lived there 1996-2001
  20. …in reply to @undefined
@Shrdlu The world is indeed a small place :-)
  21. Amazing: NASA's cryogenic engine: http://tinyurl.com/7jy625 . A rocket engine nozzle with icicles
  22. Trying out the new transitions in iWork'09 - some of them are very cool. I like "Magic Move"
  23. …in reply to @undefined
@DrScofield git is very cool. Git-svn is very useful
  24. …in reply to @jephjacques
@jephjacques Good comic today! I agree with where the punchline is. That's where I laughed. And indeed, what the hell are they doing?
  25. Lazy twitter: why would registering a VM in Vmware ESX fail with "host not reachable"? Other VMs have registered OK, just this one fails
  26. BTW, I have tried with vmware-cmd, vmware-vim-cmd, the web UI, and VI client, all fail. Something in the .vmx file?
  27. I just looked at cnn.com live coverage of the inauguration. Wow, the place is packed already!
  28. The video feed at cnn.com is surprisingly good quality!
  29. My first mac: 1st-gen PowerMac G4 (Yikes) http://tinyurl.com/bcr8ge #firstmac
  30. How do people without a long commute keep up with podcasts? I can't listen to people talking while I work, and I can't make time for it
  31. Played a bit with CHDK on my old IXUS 40 - looks powerful, I need to find a good use for it. http://chdk.wikia.com/
  32. …in reply to @niklassaers
@niklassaers Those might work for me as well. Thanks!
  33. …in reply to @undefined
@vkoser True. For me it would be an hour or so before bedtime, while I check news, personal email, etc.
  34. I used to have a 45-min train ride which was perfect, but now it's a 10-min bike ride. I'll have to start using other times.
  35. Not that I'm complaining about living only 10 mins from work, mind you :-)
  36. …in reply to @undefined
@Shrdlu I'm in a similar situation. Young kids at home leave very little time (and energy) to concentrate at home.
  37. …in reply to @undefined
@Shrdlu But there are some interesting ones. I used to enjoy Late Night Cocoa in my train ride.
  38. …in reply to @MRRSoftware
@MRRSoftware I would say debugging is an art as well
  39. Something weird with Twitter today? Not always seeing "in reply to..." in the web UI, and the icon in Syrinx often takes me to a broken URL
  40. Conference call. At least it's a technical one where we actually get things decided and done.
  41. …in reply to @wimremes
@domdingelom Very true: http://tinyurl.com/59zwht (be sure to click on "Next" at the top).
  42. Bwahaha. Bug fixed. Going home now.
  43. My wireless keyboard broke. Replacement (normal) keyboard while I get a new one. Jadm
  44. That was supposed to be: I hadn't realized how much cable clutter a wireless kbd/mouse saves.
  45. Looking for a new wireless kbd/mouse for my Mac. Any opinions re: the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave? It looks sexy. Other recommendations?
  46. …in reply to @mattgemmell
@mattgemmell I'm also looking for a new wireless mouse - I find your conversation with @Zyote very useful
  47. …in reply to @mattgemmell
@mattgemmell Any recommendations for a wireless keyboard?
  48. …in reply to @mattgemmell
@mattgemmell Does the "Document flip", "touch to search", etc. work in OS X?
  49. …in reply to @mattgemmell
@mattgemmell Not sure about that - I like to have a full kbd, not a laptop-like one. I liked the old Wireless Pro (discontinued) better.
  50. …in reply to @lmacvittie
@lmacvittie Congrats to the baby. How old is he today?
  51. …in reply to @macdevnet
@macdevnet I like the new name
  52. In the end I got a replacement kbd/mouse (same one I had: Logitech Cordless Comfort). Not the newest, but works quite well
  53. …in reply to @lmacvittie
@lmacvittie As you should be. First-year parties are for the parents, later they become for the kid :-)
  54. …in reply to @SifuMoraga
    @SifuMoraga Do you know something I don't? ;-)
  55. …in reply to @mattgemmell
@mattgemmell agreed. If someone follows you, their updates should be visible to you at least for a short while.
  56. What's that? It's the sound of the workday ending. Happy weekend everyone.
  57. …in reply to @undefined
@Shrdlu Yes he was. Cool guy. Where did you hear it?
  58. …in reply to @ev
@ev I'd love to see how you respond to that fantastic offer ;-)
