I watched The Matrix with my wife last night after many months of not seeing it. We both still know all the lines :-)
-
@funkatron Ouch! What happened? Hope you are OK
-
@funkatron I just looked through your past tweets - hope your parents are OK. The crash looks pretty bad.
-
I haven't been keeping up with twitter lately. Still two more weeks of vacation!
-
Went to do the paperwork for birth certificate and passport for Fabiola today. Hating paperwork and bureaucracy right now.
-
Catching up on email, twitter, etc. The little one is sick with fever. Really, babies this young shouldn't get sick, it's not fair.
-
@fraserspeirs I agree, but at 30 you're still a young'un. Happy third decade!
-
I had to come in to work for a bit today for a meeting and some other paperwork. Going back home now, I still have one more week of vacation
-
@zrlram Got your book yesterday - very cool, congrats!
-
About to tackle the storage closet under the stairs, in need of some serious cleanup.
-
Mission accomplished

Evening of the last day of vacation. Sigh...
-
Monday morning: Welcome... to the real world
-
@codinghorror Could it be that it depends on you localization settings?
-
@codinghorror For example, in Perl it does, I would assume in other languages it's similar: http://tinyurl.com/zxmjd
-
@macdevnet I think the best is if you can really devote 2-3 days (I used a whole weekend) to do the initial dump, as suggested in the book.
-
@macdevnet And I would second the recommendation of Things, it's very nice.
-
@codinghorror Wow, that's way more than I can bring myself to care about fonts. Interesting read, though
-
@VMwareFusion If I buy Fusion today (1.1), will I get a free upgrade when 2.0 comes out of beta?
-
I really should do more with my free time at home, instead of plopping myself in front of GReader and Twitterrific.
-
Opening Things, looking at my "home" context now.
-
@SourceGirl Subversion for now. Although I am seriously considering giving git a try.
-
So, that wasn't so bad, I actually finished a few smallish tasks that had been pending for a while. Off to bed now.
-
Moving to FeedBurner http://tinyurl.com/5lufey
-
@vkoser The answer is "yup" http://twitter.com/vmwarefusion/statuses/892924679
-
Just ordered VMware Fusion. I need it mostly to run the VI client for my tests with VMware ESX server
-
Setting up a test IBM xSeries 335 server in my office. This thing is REALLY noisy.
-
Reading "The Diamond Age" and really liking it. I want a Matter Compiler.
-
Trying out TweetDeck. Looks nice.
-
@TweetDeck Started using it today, I like it very much. It would be nice to have smooth scrolling, easier to follow in long lists.
-
Feeling in a dark mood today
-
@lulugirl896 How old is he? My daughter (2.5 yr) is going through a similar phase right now. As a dad, it's very satisfying :-)
-
Finished making last round of changes requested by published on AIsec paper. I hate widow and orphan lines.
-
I tried Feedly. It looks very nice, but makes it harder to see at a glance where in GReader I have unread stuff.
-
I also don't like that it creates some extra folders in GReader, for favorites and recommendatons and stuff.
-
I hate Mac programs that assume you are on a case-insensitive filesystem. MS Remote Desktop Client, I'm looking at you.
-
@davideisert You are an early bird. Isn't it ~4AM for you?
-
Too many layers: My Mac -> RDC to a virtual Windows machine -> VMware client -> my virtual machine's console
-
Finally sitting down to take a serious look at VMware ESX documentation
-
Just got my VMware Fusion license. Happy happy.
-
Looking at a new Twitter client: Syrinx. Looks neat.
-
@macdevnet You mean any developer quotes, or Cocoa developer quotes?
-
Dear Twitter client developers: please add a feature to automatically filter out those faceyourmanga avatars everyone has these days.
-
@lulugirl896 Impressive video
-
@spaz Trying Spaz again - both the followers and friends tabs show up blank - any ideas? I just installed the latest version.
-
Finally booked plane tickets for our next vacation to Mexico (next year). Woohoo!
-
Of all the Twitter clients I've tried, @twhirl is the only one that provides the "in reply to" link, but I find the interface a bit loaded.
-
Finishing slides for a big presentation tomorrow. I'd rather be sleeping.
-
Maybe I'm just not so used to the controls, but I'm finding making slides with drawings in OpenOffice much slower than with PowerPoint.
-
NTFS-3G now allows formatting NTFS filesystems from Disk Utility - neat! And the disk mounted nicely on a Windows machine.
-
Retweet @dacort: @JoeCascio New alpha high-powered firefox toolbar from Mozilla Labs http://tinyurl.com/5veytu
-
Heading off to a patent evaluation meeting. Oh joy.
-
New avatar time. If you are really bored, read the story behind that photo: http://tinyurl.com/6jsdue
-
Done with the talk I had to give today. Back to work, need some caffeine first. Time for some mate tea.
-
"Pomp & Circumstance" is etched on my mind as, of all things, the music from the C64 game "Ace of Aces" http://tinyurl.com/6ar8rw
-
VMware ESX is cool, but way too slow on my current test system. New server should be here in 2-3 weeks.... sigh
-
@ginatrapani After all the noise today about Ubiquity, results might change if you re-run the poll.
-
Biked to work for the first time in months... uphill... out of breath...
-
I want a Mac app that remembers my window positions when I switch from dual monitor to single and back.

@MRRSoftware It's real. They asked me to put CopperExport in one of their issues, they even sent me a copy (I asked them for it)
-
@MRRSoftware It took a while to get the magazine (~3 months I think) and then it took me a while to find where my program was listed
-
Installing ext2/3 support for MacOSX. Let's see if it works, needs a reboot.
-
@AlecMuffett It never worked for me. I use the postalicious wordpress plugin, which works well: http://poprl.com/X9
-
@hotdogsladies With phone conf systems, they can ensure many people aren't working at the same time. Or paying attention to each other.
-
What a sad state of things: there is no filesystem type beyond FAT that is mountable by default in OSX, Windows and Linux.
-
So many things to do today, it doesn't even feel like Friday
-
Do I really have to partition my external disk in 3 (HFS, ext3, NTFS) if I hope to be able to use it with Macs, Windows and Linux systems?
-
Filing the purchase order for my new ESX server
-
@MRRSoftware Why are @SyrinxApp updates protected?
-
@MRRSoftware Have you seen this: http://tinyurl.com/6ztmzh I agree, and I like the Syrinx "pause" feature very much.
-
@macdevnet I like it
-
After reading @hotdogsladies' http://tinyurl.com/6ztmzh I find myself craving for a Pause button also in Mail.app. Plugin idea?
-
Trying to setup a local Windows VM so I can use the VI client without logging into a remote Windows machine first.
