  3. …in reply to @funkatron
@funkatron I just looked through your past tweets - hope your parents are OK. The crash looks pretty bad.

  5. Went to do the paperwork for birth certificate and passport for Fabiola today. Hating paperwork and bureaucracy right now.
  6. Catching up on email, twitter, etc. The little one is sick with fever. Really, babies this young shouldn't get sick, it's not fair.
  7. …in reply to @undefined
    @fraserspeirs I agree, but at 30 you're still a young'un. Happy third decade!
  8. I had to come in to work for a bit today for a meeting and some other paperwork. Going back home now, I still have one more week of vacation

  16. …in reply to @codinghorror
@codinghorror Could it be that it depends on you localization settings?
  17. …in reply to @codinghorror
@codinghorror For example, in Perl it does, I would assume in other languages it's similar: http://tinyurl.com/zxmjd
  18. …in reply to @macdevnet
@macdevnet I think the best is if you can really devote 2-3 days (I used a whole weekend) to do the initial dump, as suggested in the book.
  19. …in reply to @macdevnet
@macdevnet And I would second the recommendation of Things, it's very nice.
  20. …in reply to @codinghorror
@codinghorror Wow, that's way more than I can bring myself to care about fonts. Interesting read, though
  21. …in reply to @VMwareFusion
@VMwareFusion If I buy Fusion today (1.1), will I get a free upgrade when 2.0 comes out of beta?
  22. I really should do more with my free time at home, instead of plopping myself in front of GReader and Twitterrific.
  23. Opening Things, looking at my "home" context now.
  24. …in reply to @undefined
@SourceGirl Subversion for now. Although I am seriously considering giving git a try.
  25. So, that wasn't so bad, I actually finished a few smallish tasks that had been pending for a while. Off to bed now.
  26. Moving to FeedBurner http://tinyurl.com/5lufey

  31. Trying out TweetDeck. Looks nice.
  32. …in reply to @Pro
@TweetDeck Started using it today, I like it very much. It would be nice to have smooth scrolling, easier to follow in long lists.
  33. Feeling in a dark mood today
  34. …in reply to @lulugirl896
@lulugirl896 How old is he? My daughter (2.5 yr) is going through a similar phase right now. As a dad, it's very satisfying :-)
  35. Finished making last round of changes requested by published on AIsec paper. I hate widow and orphan lines.
  36. I tried Feedly. It looks very nice, but makes it harder to see at a glance where in GReader I have unread stuff.
  37. I also don't like that it creates some extra folders in GReader, for favorites and recommendatons and stuff.
  38. I hate Mac programs that assume you are on a case-insensitive filesystem. MS Remote Desktop Client, I'm looking at you.
  39. …in reply to @davideisert
@davideisert You are an early bird. Isn't it ~4AM for you?
  40. Too many layers: My Mac -> RDC to a virtual Windows machine -> VMware client -> my virtual machine's console

  44. …in reply to @macdevnet
@macdevnet You mean any developer quotes, or Cocoa developer quotes?
  45. Dear Twitter client developers: please add a feature to automatically filter out those faceyourmanga avatars everyone has these days.
  46. …in reply to @lulugirl896
    @lulugirl896 Impressive video

  49. Of all the Twitter clients I've tried, @twhirl is the only one that provides the "in reply to" link, but I find the interface a bit loaded.
  50. Finishing slides for a big presentation tomorrow. I'd rather be sleeping.
  51. Maybe I'm just not so used to the controls, but I'm finding making slides with drawings in OpenOffice much slower than with PowerPoint.
  52. NTFS-3G now allows formatting NTFS filesystems from Disk Utility - neat! And the disk mounted nicely on a Windows machine.

  58. VMware ESX is cool, but way too slow on my current test system. New server should be here in 2-3 weeks.... sigh
  59. …in reply to @ginatrapani
@ginatrapani After all the noise today about Ubiquity, results might change if you re-run the poll.

  64. …in reply to @MRRSoftware
@MRRSoftware It took a while to get the magazine (~3 months I think) and then it took me a while to find where my program was listed
  65. Installing ext2/3 support for MacOSX. Let's see if it works, needs a reboot.
  66. …in reply to @AlecMuffett
@AlecMuffett It never worked for me. I use the postalicious wordpress plugin, which works well: http://poprl.com/X9
  67. …in reply to @hotdogsladies
@hotdogsladies With phone conf systems, they can ensure many people aren't working at the same time. Or paying attention to each other.
