Not sure how that's going to work out.
-
Preparing for a day-long meeting in the U.S., attended remotely from Switzerland - 3:00-11:30PM instead of 9:00-5:30. Ugh.
-
I just undusted and customized my Tumblr account, which I had never used. For now, feeding it with blog, twitter, etc.
-
My twitter updates seem to be getting through (I see them on my "Archive" tab) but they are not shown in my main timeline - weird

Another great behind-the-scenes post from culturedcode, this time about "Things touch": http://tinyurl.com/4kax6s

Attending by phone a meeting where almost everyone is in person is virtually impossible
-
Discovered that with Skype I can call toll-free U.S. numbers from outside the U.S. without paying - w00t
-
@mroesch Congrats! We are expecting our second now - also both girls
-
@funkatron It's "we" when we won, it's "they" when they lost
-
@Phil801 Really admire your courage in dealing with this and in sharing it- not sure I could do it myself. I wish you and Serenity the best!

Somehow this seems appropriate: http://tinyurl.com/5u5p9q

I'm looking for good headsets for use with Skype, also for music/gaming. I am trying the Plantronics DSP-400, I like them - any suggestions?
-
Not too expensive too, I'd say US$150 tops - wireless would be nice, stereo headset also nice
-
This is NOT what I have in mind for my new headset: http://tinyurl.com/4q77vp

Found a nice app to interact with iusethis.com: http://tinyurl.com/373dnj Takes care of all updates, including system updates
-
Hm... now that I'm feeding my blog entries to Twitter, I need to customize my auto-posted del.icio.us bookmarks to be more informative
-
I'm sure with all the cross-feeding, at SOME point I'll create a deadly Blog-Twitter-del.icio.us-tumblr-facebook-friendfeed cycle somehow
-
Of course if it hasn't happened to @Scobleizer, it's unlikely anyone else will trigger something like that
-
One of those days... I just can't get myself into "productive" mode....
-
I envy all those people tweeting about going to WWDC. You know who you are. The only Jobs keynote I attended was way back in NeXTworld '92
-
That was when NeXT announced they would stop making HW and started selling NeXTstep for PC hardware. I still have those old CDs
-
If I read @TechCrunch say "I'm streaming live right now, come chat!" one more time, I'm going to scream. Sorry, unfollow.
-
I still have to register and book trip & hotel for DIMVA'08 - need to do that today

I'm getting a used Sony-Ericsson K800i. Much cheaper than an iPhone, and much nicer than my aging and broken T610.

$199 for an iPhone 3G sounds tempting, but it's only with some outrageous contract - I'll pass until I can use it with my prepaid card

Watching the WWDC keynote

Every once in a while, my Desktop freezes (on OSX 10.5.3). I can't select or do anything - I have to restart Finder to bring it back.

Trying to concoct a script for smssend to send SMS through the cablecom.ch web interface

Just drove home through the worst rain - I had never seen construction signal posts dragged by the rain - those things are heavy!
-
Spain 4-1 Russia - goliza!
-
(day-old news) I would have put Netherlands and Italy on about the same level - but 3-0?
-
After last night's Quicktime update, all my apps are "quitting unexpectedly" - well, not all, Twitterrific is working, my session started ok
-
But Mail, Safari, Adium, Terminal all are dead. Will try a reboot.
-
After a reboot, everything is fine. How wierd.
-
Fun-filled afternoon of conference calls. Oh joy.
-
Going through my pending calls - I hate making phone calls...
-
Watching Switzerland-Turkey on Euro2008 - today I'm Swiss :-)

Still trying to write a script to send sms through http://www.hispeed.ch/
-
smssend is nice, but its scripting language is very obscure and hard to debug
-
Giving up on smssend, I put together my own SMS-sending script from scratch in Perl using WWW::Mechanize, in 30 minutes. All hail Perl.
-
Going home - have a nice weekend everyone

I have to start learning about Linux kernel internals

Just finished revising a patent disclosure. It's 1AM, do I check personal email/news or go to sleep?
-
I guess I knew already what the answer was - just quick 10 minutes more....
-
Google reader as a Fluid app is very cool
-
I was playing today with the built-in web-app feature of Safari 4 preview, but Fluid has many more options, coverflow preview is very cool
-
That was more like 30 minutes instead of 10. I need to go to sleep now.
-
@vkoser Do you still have any brightkite invites left?
-
@vkoser Thanks! Will check it out
-
Just signed up at both Plurk and BrightKite

@ginatrapani Congratulations!

I've had several crashes with my Google Reader Fluid app - going back to reading GReader with Safari...

All the details for DIMVA are finally falling in place - about time, the conference is in three weeks: http://dimva2008.org/
-
@fraserspeirs Sun's dtrace is by itself an epic win. Apple did a great job wrapping a human-understandable GUI around it though
-
How do you post to Plurk? Web page? Is there a client? How about cross-posting to Twitter and Plurk? MoodBlast doesn't support Plurk yet
-
Just finished watching the Turkey-Croatia match - what an incredible ending!

Secure disk erase in Disk Utility takes a loooong time...
-
The dilemma: Firefox 3, which is very nice, fast and with lots of plugins, or Safari, which integrates better (e.g. Automator Actions).
